I'm always trying to catch a good photo of the mountains around here, and while I was heading home on the ferry from Victoria, BC, I managed to capture a pretty good shot that I could use as a model for a painting. When we were in Victoria, I had visited the Robert Beardman Art Gallery, and was inspired by Mr. Beardman's amazing wildlife paintings. So, although it wasn't the season at the time, I decided to throw in some snow geese migrating to the Skagit Valley (right below Mount Baker).
